More than three decades have passed since the EDSA REVOLUTION (1986 People Power) and yet no one can discount the fact that it is still one of the most important events in the country's history.

With this, the Araling Panlipunan Department (JHS) and Social Science Group (SHS) invite the ASNHS and its community to commemorate the 36th EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary with this year’s theme “Pagtutulungan tungo sa Sama-samang Pagbangon mula sa Pandemya” this February 25, 2022 via Facebook Live. One of its highlight activities is the Poster Making Contest which showcases ASNHSians creative advocacy.

POSTER-MAKING CONTEST MECHANICS
36TH EDSA PEOPLE POWER REVOLUTION ANNIVERSARY

• The contest is open to all Agusan del Sur National High School students. No Registration Fee.
• Interested students must contact their Adviser/ Teacher in Araling Panlipunan (JHS) or Social Science Teacher (SHS) teaching Understanding Culture, Society, and Politics, and Contemporary Philippine Arts and the Region.
• The poster shall be a ¼ illustration board size (portrait/landscape). The coloring materials that can be used are oil pastel, pencil, watercolor, poster paint, crayon, or marker.
• The poster must illustrate and emphasize the theme: “EDSA 22: Pagtutulungan tungo sa Sama-samang Pagbangon mula sa Pandemya”
• On or before February 21, 2022, contestants must submit the following:
  1. A recorded video while crafting his/her entry
  2. One photo of the contestant while holding his/her entry
  3. One photo of the entry.

  •The top three (3) posters from each year level will represent their respective year level in the final selection and show off.
  • Top 3 entries in every grade level will be announced by their Adviser/ Teacher in Araling Panlipunan (JHS), or Social Science Teacher (SHS) and they will physically submit their entries
  •Winners and prizes will be announced on February 25, 2022, via Facebook live: www.facebook.com/asnhsofficial
  •All entries will be judged according to the following criteria:
  a. Visual and Aesthetic: 30%
  (Application of color, shape, pattern, line, texture, visual weight, balance, scale, proximity, and movement; design elements and principles; and visual impact)
  b. Content :40%
  (Information, emotion, mood, denotative and Connotative content, symbolism, meaning, message, relevance to the theme, subject impact)
  c. General Characteristic 30%
  (Originality, style, context, empathy, insight)
